VENICE ATTACKS THE EMPIRE

The flames of war now spread beyond the southern provinces, revealing ever more clearly the scope of the conspiracy against the Empire and the months-long preparation done of this plan. What began as an undeclared and dishonourable invasion in the south has grown into a coordinated assault on Imperial sovereignty from multiple directions. The mask has fallen. The enemies of the Empire no longer hide their intentions.

From the north, Venice has openly joined the aggressors. In a swift and calculated strike, Venetian forces assaulted the frontline defences at Mantua, overwhelming the garrison and destroying the local army. With these defences shattered, Venetian armies now press deeper into the territory of the Duchy of Modena. This is no isolated act of opportunism, but a deliberate escalation. Venetian collaboration in this unjust war has been evident from the beginning; now it is written in blood and steel.

Let there be no doubt: an attack on the Duchy of Modena is an attack on the Empire itself and the Empire now faces a second frontline. From the south, the forces of Two Sicilies and their Turkish allies push toward Siena; from the north, Venetian troops advance through Modena. Italy is threatened from both ends.

Yet even as the pressure mounts, the Empire stands resolute. Its strength has never rested solely in armies or walls, but in unity, faith, and the unyielding will of its provinces to defend one another. Imperial banners still fly over embattled towns. Soldiers and citizens alike remain steadfast, knowing what is at stake: their land, their lives, and the values that bind the Empire together.

The Empire has always envisioned peace and prosperity for its people. It will be a question whether they will try to bargain in the quickest way possible a peace treaty with the invaders so as to not lose the lives of more...
