16/07/1469 RtR - Justice or Vengeance in Novgorod?

Duke Al lan Douglas from Galloway, Scotland has asked for his right to reply (RtR) to the Series Justice or Vengeance in Novgorod?.

This series included four parts.

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4

Duke Al lan has issued the following replies.

Duke Al lan has said:
"In response to the Editor's note in part 3 of the story":
KAP quote
"Editor's note - I have tried to search for any laws of piracy in Scotland national areas as well as in the Galloway areas to see if any laws exist. I could not locate any at this time."

Duke Al lan states:
"I would have been happy to answer this question as part of the interview. Galloway does not have any specific laws against piracy, nor does it have any specific laws against invading the country. Acts of war are dealt with through military actions not court rooms, whether they be against states or stateless actors such as pirates. As provided earlier a decree of piracy was made."

Duke Al lan states: "In response to part 4 of the story":

Chancellor Phobia Cosgrove said:
There were promises of delivering additional evidence after the fact, but while Al-lan did provide multitudes of transcripts they failed to ascertain the claims of intent he had made. When asked to clarify those points, he brushed the matter aside claiming them to be "minor matters". For reference, those "minor matters" would qualify for treason in Finland.

Duke Al lan's reply:
"Phobia has only been provided the transcripts of the communication with Russia and not the military intelligence, due to security concerns they were only offered to Queen Chermiina of Finland for her eyes only. The rest is vague and I don't know what it references to be able to comment."

KAP article quote
Does Finland share the same opinion as Scotland on this? That is that hunting pirates in an area that had no issue with the said group is part of vengeance to right the law of the sea and if it’s people who sail it?

Duke Al lan's reply:
"No, the actions the pirate group did within our territory would be enough to be considered an act of war, should they be backed by a foreign power.

The pirates were backed by a foreign power, namely Russia, that provided them with ships, a safe harbour and escape. This was from the beginning a military action and it was explained to Russia before they accepted the pirates into their ports. The pirate attack in Galloway as considered an act of war and retaliated as such.
The opinion to attribute to Scotland does not represent the views and legal position of Galloway, nor I imagine her Queen."

Additionally, Duke Al lan replied:
"I also believe you missed an important event from the timeline of events.

11th June King Khelder of Finland is sunk by Scottish and Finnish ships and was put on trial by the Finnish council, Queen Chermiina has taken over while the case continues."

I, Kallist0, acknowledge the mistake and issue the following:
"I did miss that one event in my time line which is located in Part 4 of the series. I apologize for that."
