Lewes is one of the most populous and active towns in England. The market of the town is buoyant and also because it is a port city foreign traders often come to Lewes. Its taverns are mostly full and it is possible to see strong ties between the Lewes people in the taverns. There are brotherhood and friendship in Lewes.

An archery tournament with a big prize started on February 6 at Lewes. Announced by the Lewes Activities Assistant Lady Alicia Avis O'Hera, the total prize in the archery tournament is 2,050 pounds. This is a really big prize and guests from town other than Lewes will be able to attend the tournament. The tournament will continue until February 21st.

You may often have to wait for hours at the door to enter the tavern called The Drunken Mallard Inn, which has become one of Lewes's favourite places nowadays. Because it is often very difficult to find a place to sit inside.

You can hear the most pleasant conversations, jokes and laughs inside. Well of course a little bit of politics.

The Drunken Mallard recently opened by Sir Destrian Blackwell, Earl of Howick. However, it soon achieved to become one of Lewes's favourite taverns. I think the effect of Sir Destrian and bartender Lady Lenae Blackwell in this cannot be ignored. Sir Destrian's hospitality and his close attention to everyone made The Drunken Mallard one of Lewes's attractions centres.

Lewes is also a very active town politically. All seven members of the current Sussex Council are from Lewes. The majority of MPs from Lewes in the Sussex Council indicates that the city of Lewes is politically active.

The election for the Municipality of Lewes will be held a few days later and four people have now announced their candidacy. These are the current mayoress and also the trade minister of Sussex Helenn Whitehall, current Count of Sussex Richard "Ghost" Rodriguez, current Sussex councillor David Blackwood and Lady Daisydread.

The fact that three candidates are members of the Sussex Council demonstrates the quality of politics in Sussex. In Sussex, everyone may have different political views, and there may even be three different candidates from the same council for the same mayoralty, but Sussex always continues to work together like one fist.
