Bristol, Devon (KAP) – King/Queen Frankie is not welcome to visit Devon with his army. The council of the county decided so after the monarch of England requested entrance. But it is unclear whether this decision will be complied with or not.

It is common for commanders to request access to places where they travel to. And so did King/Queen Frankie of England in a letter to the former Countess of Devon, Patan Seymour on the the 20th of June: ‘‘Would Devon allow me to come if I am moving in an army? I understand the trust in me from Devon is not great, so I will respect any decision that you or the council makes, it is in regards the royal tour.’’ thus the monarch.

And that trust in him is not big is confirmed in the Devon In. According to a poll 63% of the people would back the council in their decision to refuse access. While 25% said they should get access and 11% abstained on the poll. Some described the elected leader of England as "a tyrant." who broke his election promises. In a later correspondence with the Countess Patan on the 27th of June, the monarch stated that they should not worry and he would respect the wishes of their council.

However, a little less than a month later on the 21th of July the tone has changed a lot: ‘’I will be coming anyways. I do not believe 12 [[note: the county council]] people should decide for 300+. Especially not when there was only 1 list, so before you tell me it was the choice of the people no. 1 person can vote and that would be more than enough for the list to get voted in.’’ while relying on national legislation that goes above county legislation.

The Countess’ response was the ask to Monarch to honour the words which were written earlier. She emphasized that the Monarch is welcome, but without an army. Besides this, there is no clarity as to whether it is legally correct what the King / Queen says.

Currently King/Queen Frankie is staying in Lewes, Sussex where they have given him access. It is still unknown whether the Monarch -with or without army- will travel to Devon. If this happens, it certainly leads to a politically and legal difficult situation.
